finally Bandai USA started releasing the Nyo series, 3 years after it was licensed and 2 years after the promised release date. they cut out the first OP and put the second one instead + they masked faces of Pyoko and the PKO because they only appear in the second half of the show (maybe problem with getting rights for the song again). additionally the dvd menu is ugly and the encoding is lame.

the manga I'm reading right now, "Mi-tan" by Yumi Ichirou serialized in Comic-High (Kodomo No Jikan, Hitohira, High School Girls), is about a hikikomori and some sort of a netherworld creature that appears in his a appartment as a little naked girl... looks like it's going to be a fun read XD

Oh Edo Rocket!

one of the shows bound to fall under the radar this season, and probably won't see fansub anytime soon... anyway, the animation is smooth, and the show is quite nutsy. something about fireworks, and other stuff thrown in for fun. falls in a category similar to Yoshimune from last april.

so after all the hype Lucky Star has turned into sort-of Hidamari Sketch season 2. the opening is great though. If you don't have as much time on your hands as us hardcore watchers do, stick with Hayate to deliver comedy this season. Seto No Hanayome is also nice but it might fall flat like Yamato Nadeshiko. Kamichama karin was, um, ok. so far this season is a let-down. Nagasarete Airantou is nothing new but still a funny, visually pleasant, solid harem love-hina style. I still have 29 shows I have to try but I doubt anything there will be super.

Kodomo No Jikan anime will start in July. It's a manga about 3rd-graders who torture their teacher (in sexy ways).

So today I went to my first anime convention. I wouldn't normally but as part of certain anime get-togethers and fansub groups I couldn't stay away.
So it was fun to meet everyone I planned on meeting, and as resident furry I got made fun of by 4channers, especially a 15-year old girl who later could hardly believe I was an actual furry... you see, it's not furry that's corrupting our youth... it's 4chan that lets little girl surf to /b/ XD. anyway it was quite a scene... that cute teenager approaching me and asking me "excuse me, are you furry?" - "uhm... yes?" - "DIIIIEEEE!!! YIFF IN HELL!!!" and then approaching me once later XD
anyway, my tail was popular with some girls who wanted to pet it XD.
